The lens ray diagram builder constructs convex and concave ray diagrams on graph paper. Set the focal length, object distance and height, and step through the three construction rays to the image.
A hand-built replica of the real builder page, not a screenshot. Every control shown exists in the product.
Ray diagrams are marked on construction, and a freehand sketch never quite lands the rays where the rules say. Here each ray follows its rule exactly, parallel then through F, through the centre straight, through F then parallel, and the image falls where the rays cross.
Step through the construction one ray at a time with the class predicting the next line, and switch between convex and concave, with presets from beyond 2F to inside F. The demo above is live, try both lens types.
Diagnostic multiple choice. Each answer reveals what the class does and doesn't understand.
