A component has a resistance of 14 Ω. Calculate the potential difference needed to drive a current of 0.5 A through it.

Write the equation
V = I × R
Substitute values
V = 0.5 × 14
Calculate
V = 7 V

Why this works in Physics

Colour coding lets pupils see which value substitutes where, the resistance in the question is the same green as the resistance in the equation. Turn it off when the class is ready to work independently, and drop the scaffold level the same way, from full worked example down to blank lines.

From the presenter you can launch practice mode instantly, a series of questions at the scaffold level you choose, with answers revealed line by line. Strong pupils push ahead on extension questions while you keep the pace with the rest of the room.
