Physics click-to-reveal questions

A click-to-reveal activity puts a question on the board and holds the answer back until you click. The class commits first, on whiteboards, on paper or out loud, and only then do they find out whether they were right.

Improve the Working
F=ma - rearrange for acceleration

Why this works in Physics

The example above is the improve the working type. Pupils see an answer that did not get full marks, here F = ma rearranged the wrong way, work out what went wrong, then write the working in full. The corrected version stays hidden until the room has had a go.

The same hold-back makes click to reveal the natural tool for plain retrieval too. Physics has a lot that must be recallable cold, equations, units, the definitions examiners mark strictly, and a pupil who sees the answer too early will believe they knew it. The class commits first, then you reveal in any order.
