Chemistry multiple choice questions

A multiple choice question gives the class one question and a short list of answers to choose between. Every pupil commits to an answer, so you see the state of the room in one look. The misconception type shown above runs in both directions, find the correct statement or find the one that is wrong.

Why this works in Chemistry

The demo above runs both modes. In correct mode pupils pick the right description of particle motion from plausible wrong answers, solids that move freely, gases that only vibrate. Flip the selector to incorrect and generate again, and now three statements are right and the class hunts for the one that is not. Both sets are real product output from the same prompt.

Chemistry misconceptions are stubborn, particles stop moving in solids, particles themselves expand on heating, atoms disappear in reactions. Writing convincing wrong statements is the slow part of making these questions, and the draft builds them from the misconceptions attached to the topic you name, at the key stage you set. You edit every option before it reaches the board.
